TISCO Bank
TISCO was established
in 1969 as the first investment bank in Thailand with an
initial registered capital of 20 million baht. The name
“TISCO” derived from the full company name at first
established, “Thai Investment and Securities Company
Limited”
With investment banking concept, TISCO first introduced
and developed several financial services to serve the
increasing needs of the Thai growing economy. For
example, first to offer provident fund management in
Thailand, pioneered local retail finance market with
hire purchase business, introduced loan syndication
services to corporate clients, helped develop the
secondary market for trading debt instruments including
government bonds and treasury bills.
In capital market, TISCO was the first to offer stock
reports and securities underwriting service. The company
set up an affiliated company to operate stock brokerage
business in 1974 which later became a founder member of
the Stock Exchange of Thailand. In asset management,
TISCO was among the selected financial institutions to
first receive the Asset Management License in 1992 to
operate fund management business for private, corporate
and mutual fund clients.
For more than 36 years, TISCO has worked to achieve

broad spectrum of clients. With the government policy to
increase effectiveness of the financial systems to be
able to offer comprehensive financial services for all
potential users in the country, through Financial Sector
Master Plan, TISCO was the first finance company to
receive approval from the Ministry of Finance to upgrade
its status to a commercial bank in October 2004. TISCO
Bank consequently started its banking operation on July
1st, 2005 with its head office located at TISCO Tower on
the North Sathorn Road and 14 branches in strategic
locations nationwide.
